Hey Tom,

I have the tool and pics of it, to remove the tubes. Let me know if you have done this yet and I'll send you the pics.

Most of the heads I have worked on here in Illinois are limed up around the tubes.AfterI remove the tubes I use a torch to heat the lime deposit. It pops loose real easy then . The other caution is make sure your bushing driver isn't to big on the od it will tear up the hole in the head. Note that the tubes are bigger on one end. Take sand paper and gently clean the holes on both ends of the cyl head. Apply a good sealer on the head and on the tubes and gently tap in place. Earl

If youre referrign to the pushrod tubes and water leaking through or around them, you basically have to remove them and install new ones. One tip when inserting the new ones I use, is to place them in a freezer for an hour or better before you install them and a proper size bushing driver is a must. Ol John T Nordhoff in Indiana

John T
Can antifreeze enter the cylinder through the pushrods tubes or is antifreeze in the cylinder only the result of a cracked head?

From what I have been told, Radiator fluids are leaking through the push rod seals. But I'm a little foreign to Green Tractors, someone else could answer this question a little better.

Is it a must to pull the head? Or can it be done with a puller of some type?
