My 43 H will not start. It is a hand crank with a new rebuild from a previous owner. When I set the timing, I have to rotate the top of the Mag all the way forword to barely get it to fire the plug with a blue spark. Carb seems to be fine and tractor will run if pulled but seems to be lacking in power. Is the Mag out of whack or is it a possibility that the timming gear matchup is not correct?

Thank You

Andy, with having to turn the mag top forward & also having to pull start it, you might [read good chance] have a malfunctioning impulse in the mag.
~Does the mag snap or click loudly when the engine is turned over? "If not", pull the mag then post back. Also tell us what mag you have? [probably either a Wico C or X].....
