I bought a 730D for about 5500. Not a thing was wrong with it and it was just painted, it was an excellent paint job by the way. The engine was in great shape, had wide front end, and all sheet metal and tires were great. I'm guessin yours should probably be worth at least more than 5500.

I won't pretend to know or even guess what you have invested in your tractor, but here's my two cents. First of all, it sounds like a heck of a nice 720, so don't worry about what others say - GT obviously just wants to stir the pot, especially as he has no idea what you spent to restore it. I have seen tractors in similar condition to yours listed for up to $7500 in classifieds, and I have seen some real nice ones sell for $4500 to $6500, so somewhere in there should be a pretty fair assessment. The complete hitch alone is worth a good chunk of change. GT was correct on one point, it is worth less than what you have in it - but only in terms of time and sentimental value you have in it, not monetary value. This is true especially if you aren't selling, so hold onto it and enjoy it. BTW - if you took ten years to restore it, your yearly restoration bills were probably pretty reasonable, weren't they? I wish I had the patience to stretch out a project that long.

It's worth about $3,000 less than you have into it.
