I have a 1966 3020 diesel with a powershift. Runs fine, sheet metal o.k. needs painting. I have been offered a 6030 in similar condition for it. Don't need either. Just a hobby. Any suggestions?

I think I would hold onto the 3020 if I were you -
being a diesel and a powershift makes it a fairly collectible tractor and much handier and more manueverable than a 6030. I've seen some 6030s go real cheap - even in good shape - they're just too much tractor for most people. That 6030 will probably weigh about 3 times what your 3020 does, so if you haul your 3020 anywhere, you're going to need a pretty good sized truck and trailer to haul the 6030. I would ask myself why the 6030 owner is willing to trade for a 3020 and go from there. If that 6030 ever needs any kind of engine or transmission work, it will get costly real quick. However, it it's just a pure hobby tractor, you can probably do without it while any repairs are being made or paid for. The bottom line is that it's your decision - just go into the trade with both eyes open.
