Found the source of bad noises in my JD 40C!

I posted a question about a knocking sound coming from the engine on my JD 40C a week or so ago. Here's the followup:

It appears that the engine managed to ingest a small piece of metal and it was stuck in the top of the rear piston, and banged against the head. There doesn't look to be much/any damage other than a small dent in the piston top, the head wasn't damaged at all. The engine has a straigh exhaust pipe on it and I'm wondering if it somehow ingested the metal through the pipe.

I'm just glad it wasn't a crank problem after all.
