Front weight for an M?

I have a m that I bought about a year ago. It has a large front weight that is bolted w/two bolts onto the front. It looks as if it fits fine, like it's supposed to be there. I'm wondering if it was an option, as I didnt' see any in the tractor photo's of one having one on it. I thought I saw one a couple weeks ago in the photo ads section, but after looking I couldn't find it.

The 52 M we have had front and rear wheel weights on it when we purchased it new.

There was a front weight available for the John Deere M. It may be aftermarket as the M had atendancy to grab in and roll the front end over on the driver. It was not supplied on many tractors. You should get a parts list on your tractor to see for sure.

I don't think that it was an option. You could get front wheel wieghts but I think someone just put it on for something.
