A sad story

I have a relatively close neighbor that seems like a nice guy. I noticed a JD 420 in his yard years ago, tires down, sunk into the ground. I knew that he was using another color tractor since we have lived close. I talked to him a while yesterday and asked him when he parked that JD and why and he told me that the starter was dragging some 15 years ago and that is why he parked it. Now I have many tractors, no green but can't stand to see a perfectly good tractor trashed for something so simple. We looked at the oil, it looked like it had just been topped off. The exhaust has always been covered. The man he bought it from years ago told him he had just overhauled the engine. Looking it over I would not mind adding green to my collection.

The husband of my first cousin has two 830s ES sitting in the fencerow, rotting, and raining down the exhaust. His dad bought them new and he will not sell them or repair them. That is SAD!!!
