Beam number 480 is for a # 40 plow and it appears to be only for those built in 1920 and 1921 in the 14" size. A 40 plow had a riveted frame beams were made of rectangular stock not the forged I beam style of the heavier plows of the era. The 40 and 40c were made for the Fordson and similar smaller tractors. The early ones were not normally furnished with a tail wheel more correctly called a rolling landside since it transported up in the air, not functioning as a wheel. The 1921 version does list a rolling landside, sounds like an uncommon plow if this it what it really is. Post some more numbers , maybe we can be more certain. Oh, if it is a 40 it would not be hydraulic. Bob

Are you sure it is a 44 plow. The beam numbers on a 44 plow are 28161 and 28162. Not 480. In fact I don't know what 480 is. It does not match to anything.

Don't know. Don't have a 44.
