In the center of the lug nuts on my 1944 styled B John Deere, each lug nut has 90 written in big letters on it. Are they original? What does it stand for? Just curious.

44 Styled B, not sure if those are original.. That 90 on the bolts seems to be on a lot of replacements wheel bolts for a fairly long run..

~The number 90 on those bolts was probably the bolt torque,, just not sure if it was for the Deere's.. One of my old trailers uses about the same bolt & that 90 on them was the torque to tighten..

~That would have been out of character for Deere to give bolts torques back then but the 90 would have been about correct for that wheel bolt.. More than likely those bolts were bought from a bolt company that supplied bolts for a lot of applications & the 90 was required for some of the applications they sold for..

Is it possible they were put on at the factory? They were on my tractor and I found them on another parts tractor which was produced the same month as mine.
