Does anyone have a suggestion for a reliable source for tranny parts for my 52 G? Had a bearing go out on one of the shafts, and now there's no high range, limited to 1st gear and reverse in low.

Matt, some of the bearings are available yet through your JD dealer, although it's kind of hit and miss. As for gears and shafts, etc. Check with one of the bigger salvage yards (Dennis Polk, etc.) or with a local salvage yards if the have some two-cylinders. I was able to get some parts locally as we have a pretty decent little two-cylinder salvage yard up the road a few miles. G trannies are pretty much bullet-proof, so you should be able to find decent parts fairly reasonably. Good luck with your tractor.
