The 46 is a lighter built loader than the 48 and 58 series. However, it is a quick-attach (on or off in 5 min). I've got 2 of 'em; they'll handle pretty much anything your front-end will. Prices probably in the $500 range, depending on your location.

A JD 148 is a loader that was designed to be used on the 3020 & 4020 tractors. A good straight unwelded 148 with row crop brackets and 5' bucket will be around $2000. Beware of some of the cheaper aftermarket loaders because the sub-frames are not as strong and I have seen broken tractor frames and srtipped out engine block to frame bosses because of sub-frame flex. I use grade 8 hardware and locking nuts when I mount a loader. JMHO
