Agco would probably love to acquire Deere, that way they could add some quality to their line. btw i have ran lots of two bangers and 4020s, and would take either over an intertrashional 1066 any day.

We're doing great here guys! I can't tell you how proud it makes me to see everybody responding to Bradshaw's idiotic post with facts and knowledge - rather than letting him drag us into another stupid color war. I know I'm always among the first to get my dander up and respond when someone slams JD, sometimes (okay, usually) when I shouldn't bother, but we gotta stand up for what we believe in. Keep up the good work and eventually he'll get tired of "stirring it up" and move to somewhere he can get someone's goat. Let's just make sure it's not a Deere fan that he gets the best of. JD FOREVER!

Ah, it's BRADSHAW again. I remember your last TROLL POSTS very well. I also remember that after you start these little "flamewars" you never respond (except like this time when the other posters identify you correctly right away---). Do you have any verifyable facts this time, or is this like your last several posts---a craxy, wild-a***d statement that neither you nor anyone else can support, and then you sit back and laugh?

As to your incredible dumb statement about Deere buying AGCO, why should Deere buy JUNK? What part of their product line do you think needs to be substituted with poorer quality machinery? Or are you hoping that Deere buys them out and then shuts everything down as a means of reducing competition? It HAS been done before you know. (I think it was what caused the demise of AULTMAN-TAYLOR but I'm not completely sure)

I suggest that you go out and buy yourself a position as a major shareholder of AGCO and pursue the correct methods of a take over of John Deere. When I see your name on my AGCO perspectus issues then we will start listening. Until that time you might choose to keep you financial information to yourself. Their are two types of people in this world "ONE TYPE IS PART OF THE SOLUTION THE OTHER IS PART OF THE PROBLEM" I'm sure you already know where you fit in.

Deere has a market cap of 10.5 billion. Ticker is DE. Agco has a market cap of 1.5 billion. Ticker is AG.

Looks like the reverse could be a possibility, but I'd give very long odds on Deere being acquired by Agco.

Deere closed today at 44.42 -- about 5 bucks shy of a 52 week high.

You better pray that never happens! If we have just Agco, John Deere or Agco/Deere we will pay there price. We need competition. Only a idiot would think like you.

Bradshaw, I don't know your source, but I would say that the odds of Agco taking over Deere would be somewhere between zero and none. The day I see Agco on a sign in front of the dealership I work at is the day I sell my tools and head for the hills - but I'm pretty sure that day isn't coming during my lifetime, anyway. Deere has lost some money lately, but a lot of companies have the way the farm economy and the general economy has been lately. The new CEO has been making some cuts in various places to save money - that's why JD left Nascar, etc. Anyway, if you really believe that Agco takeover is going to happen, my advice would be to go out and buy all the Agco stock you can get your hands on - it's sure to go through the roof as soon as they add some Deere quality to their product lines - like the new Twenty-series tractors for instance. Agco doesn't have anything that will even come close to them. That's not a comment aimed at starting another color war - just a fact.

Well, for one thing, you obviously can't spell very well, and your grammar leaves a lot to be desired. But if you want to go toe to toe with me, my e-mail address is above. Be advised, however, that I have a very low tolerance for stupidity.

So where was YOUR e-mail address, Mr. IP 63.114.86.223.

You tried this same tactic months ago.

What a dipstick ! Check out the market cap on AGCO, and learn to read a balance sheet.

What a dork.
