From a 1947 sales brochure, the A weighed 4909 pounds with power lift and cast rear wheels.

The John Deere Tractor Data Book, by Larry Dunning, says the 1934 - 1940 model A weighed 4059 pounds, but does not differentiate between the unstyled and the early styled versions - also doesn't mention which wheels, but I would guess they were spoke wheels, with that light weight.

Not sure which model A you're asking about, but maybe this will help.
