Hey all. Just wondering if anyone has put a wide front on an H. Would parts from a B work? Or is there another suitable donor?

Thanks for your help.

I know a guy that has a 42 H that has an aftermarket wide front. I don't know what kind it is. I don't think he does either. I've only seen it from a distance. It looks good on there. Wish I could tell you more about it.

Kilian, I have seen a small Farmall wide front put on a Deere "H" using home made brackets & steering linkage. The front "H" bolster was cut off about even with the bottom of the frame & a bearing plate was welded on, the front axle pivot ear was welded on that same bearing plate complete with axle pivot stops & the rear axle pivot plate was a bolt on to the bottom of the frame about 12" behind the front.
~The job was very neatly done & it REALLY caught my attention when I first walked on the tractor. ~It impressed me so much that I have a broken "H" bolster that I have been keeping around to one day do the same conversion. There was something about that tractor that just looked like it was made that way from the factory, until you looked closely, & reality set in that there was no [low] "H" wide made.....

Deere & Co. did they built a model called an HWH. I don't know if the parts would be easy to find from one since they are not very common. And if you found just a front end , the spindles may be to long.

Yes, they made and HWH. Not an easy tractor to come by.
