Gentleman, I've just became the owner of a 3020 and I'd like to continue to take care of her. Could you tell me which manuals I should get?
also I am going to use the tractor to clean up after a logging mess and am wondering if there are forks that I could use instead of the bucket?
thanks

3020 is a real nice tractor we've had one since 1977 and have no intentions on getting rid of her. manuals are a good idea, the parts manual you can get on cd-rom it comes with a whole list of other tractors on it and it is sometimes a little cheaper than a single print version.

Sawdust:

Like Jack said, the manuals depend on the S/N of your tractor.

I have a book of manual numbers, so if you post your serial number, I'll give you the numbers of the three books: Operator, Technical (Service), and Parts. I think buying the manuals up front is the best thing you can do. I can't count the number of times I was able to determine that there was an extra fastener or snap ring under or behind something.

You can order your manuals direct from Deere, which is what I recommend. Just have a credit card handy and call 800-522-7448. If you tell them your s/n, they'll be able to sort out the numbers, also.

The manual depending on serial number is an operators manual. Which will give bare basics about 80 pages then there is the parts catalog which lists every part and number on the tractor. Then the service manual. Local JD dealer should be able to get you anything you need on it. Thats what I did not too long ago.
