I'm wanting to buy a set of front mounted cultivators for my 3020 with the NF. Does anyone know what the JD model # would be to fit a 1970 3020? Does anyone know if the cultivators off an earlier tractor would fit,(3010,4010,4020,ect.)

Thanks in advance; Barney-South Ga.

Barney, a model AT-40 is a great model to put on a 3020, and it will fit a wide or narrow front end, if you do find one ask what is was last mounted on , if it was mounted on a 4010/4020 the main beam in the front will have to be turned either end to end or half a turn, this adjusts the length back to the rear wheels, (difference between 4&6 cylinder engines) only thing is you need dual hydralics, can't remember if these were operational with the rear rockshaft. Alot easier to mount than the old models(40 & T40). Also my uncle put his cultivator off of his 630 to his 3010, the front mounts(top cone and bottom tongue) have different hole spacings but can't remember if he had to switch anything else, if you have any other questions email me chris

Last few years Dad farmed He had a 4010-D WFE, with the matching 4-38" frt mount cultivator... Sorry, don't know the model #... Nice unit actually, The P/S on the 4010 even with all that weight up front was so good You could still turn the steering wheel on the ends with 2 fingers. Turning Radius w/ WFE wasn't very tight even with dragging the inside rear wheel, so We'd take 4 rows, skip 4, and take the next 4 rows. I layed-by 40 acres of corn one afternoon in 2-3 hours... Running wide open in 7th gear. Smoothest cleanest field of corn Dad ever picked in 30+ yrs of farming. Frt mount cultivators are actually easier to drive than rear mounts by far. Not as easy to mount as a 3-point rear mount, but not a hard job. Takes an hour at most if You have all the brackets installed. I think anything that fits a 30/4010 or 30/4020 and maybe even 60/620/630 thru 70/720/730 should fit. Hopefully someone will get You a model #.

Barney: I'd bet a set off a 3010 would fit. But ask Pat Bleas, he probably knows for sure.

Is that your 3020 anchored to irrigation off 122 between Barney and 133?

Thanks for replying Zane! Are you from Pavo, Ga.? In response to your question about my 3020,it is presently anchored to a Pittsburg 4-row Cultivator! HA HA! I'm in a small town below Cordele, Ga. The name is ARABI, Ga. My neighbor has some sweetcorn planted, and I've always wanted to plow with a front-mounted cultivator. I saw them when I was very small, and Daddy said when you plow up your crop with a front cultivator, you should be run off!! I think I have the only NF 3020 around here, I just play with hay when I'm home. Thanks again; Barney-South Ga.(ARABI)
