I've been wrestling a remote hyd.pump off and on for awhile now and still cann't get it to maintain suction, the fitting in bottom of rockshaft housing is were it picks up suction. In this fitting there is sort of a stand pipe that sticks up in the housing,I think I made this fitting and may have gotten it to long, does any one know for sure how long this stand pipe should be. I've tikered with ever thing about this setup accept this and was wondering if I construcked the stand pipe wrong????? ? Garland

The shaft seal on the the side of the pump against the governor may be in backwards. The lip should face outward which would seem backwards but it is a suction seal.

What style tractor? I have been working on a no pressure problem. What is the remote pump?
The pump on the govener should suck fluid from the larger tube from pump to rear housing.

JD Jack sorry I left the main part out. The tractor is a "G" John Deere and the pump gos between the gov. housing and Distrbutor. There is an pump set up on Ebay that's got the stand pipe and all with it. I bid on it,that will be a sure way to get the correct measurement, little expense though. Here's the # flip over to ebay and look at it(1723010333) thanks for the reply. Gman
