I need some advice. The filter head casting is broken and must be replaced. Am I correct that the oil filter head can be removed without removing the crankshaft? Just reach in through the crankcase cover opening and feel around until I find the oil lines that are to be disconnected. How many lines are there and is it difficult to get them back to the right places when I'm putting it back together? . Are there any tricks and or special tools needed to get the oil tubing disconnected? Will I have to disconnect both ends of the various pieces of tubing to get the filter head out after it is loosened from the filter body? Any thoughts or suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks for the help, Frank, Tx

Yes you can do it, be patient it takes the "feel" since you can't see it while wrenching, I've done them on A's . Never overtighten the filter , this is what happens.
