Fuel in my oil!!!!

I have a John Deere riding mower model RX95.
Recently brought it in for a tune up, new spark plug, oil change etc... I have used my mower twice since this tune-up and all of a sudden I cannot get it to start. My neighbor looked at it and found there was fuel "blowing" out of my muffler, saturating the spark plug and fuel in my oil!!! I went back to the place that did the tune-up and of course it was not anything they had done but were more than willing to look at it (for a fee) for me. I knew I should of done the tune-up myself...any suggestions on how to remedy this problem? I was told that all I would have to do is drain the oil, blow out the remaining fuel in the muffler...sounds too simple to me..H E L P

Probably would check the float and needle as well. Always shut the fuel off on small engines. especially. Generally, the float sticks and fuel constantly runs henceforth filling the crankcase up with fuel. When this happens, sometimes when you are trying to start it is causes a vaccuum "lock" so to speak and will not allow your engine to start. May have gotten jarred around like other guys have mentioned, but check the float out real well and change the oil first thing and put new in. Straight 30wt is usually recommended.

It sounds like a stuck needle in the carb seat and is letting the fuel into the motor . This will happen when you let it sit up with gas in the carb . Just take it off and free it up making sure no water or trash is in it and drain the oil and u r back in business and of course be sure to fill the crankcase up with new oil .

this is common on mowers. The best thing is to turn the gas off when finished. by setting you can get some seepage by the float and needle and law of physics will drain your tank into the engine. I always turn the fuel off my 110. You may need a new float as they sometime take on fuel, get heavy or per the other post your float and needle is probably bad. No need to blame the shop unless they were to do a carb overhaul...probably jarring around ie, caused the problem...good luck.
