My dad and I are taking his 1949 John Deere A to its first tractor pull in a few hours and we were wondering what kind of air pressure we needed to run in the rear tires. He had 12.4-38 and we are hoping to be under the 5000 pound mark but I don't think it is going to happen. Thanks for your reply.

Keith

Try running them so they sag a little, NOT TO MUCH but enough to see a difference. You will get a bigger "foot print" that will give you more traction. Rear tirs on tractors don't hold that much air so you will see difference in any minor air loss. Hope you do well pulling!!
