I have run the pony at idle, high speed, cranking the diesel decompressed, and cranking on full compression.

I'm not going to start the diesel until I have the right rear wheel and tire re-mounted, as the right side is only supported by jackstands. On compression, the diesel puffs a bit of exhaust (probably from the oil around the rings from installation), which means it has enough compression to make the heat, so I'm pretty confident if I have the injectors timed right, she'll fire off when I'm ready.

Then to work on the hood and nosecone.

It's looking good. It'd be hard to resist cranking that big motor, but I think waiting until you get all four wheels on the ground is prudent.
