Gentlemen; I have the 420w and am thinking of putting a disk harrow for my home garden. The garden is approx.100x100ft. The old tiller is on its last legs and would like to try disking in the winter rye and buckwheat and turning it over in the spring. Any suggestions on size and type?

Thank you

The three point with a width that will cover your tracks is the hot set up (6 footer is great if you can find one). Problem is finding one. I am doing landscaping around the area of the house and barn and a pond in the future so I borrowed a dragger from my brother. I don't know how you measure them but it goes beyond 8 feet when open for cutting. The ole 420 really snorted when I let it cut the full width. This was in fresh unplowed ground. Second gear worked best because it was about the right speed. I tried 3 rd to see if it would pull it and surprisingly it did but the ground speed was too fast as the ole disk jumped around too much. As you probably alread know new three point chincy disks cost in the neighborhood of $500 at places like farm and fleet. Good luck on finding one out there while mushroom hunting this spring. Later.

Three point hitch 6 ft wide should do what you want.

Thanks guys!

The mushrooms are few and far between in Maine in the spring. I have never found a morel in my neighborhood. Most of the mushrooms around here are picked in the late summer-fall period.
