As I continue putting my 620 back together I am repainting. My new JD dealer in Northwest Arkansas tells me the color of yellow used on the 620 is no longer available. It is lighter softer yellow. Does anybody sell an aftermarket mix of this color. Or do I have to go with the traditional yellow this time?

Thanks in advance

Dick

The yellow on the sides of the 620 where originally decals, they are no longer avalible. The guys just paint them now.

I used the yellow enamel off the dealer's shelf for my 50 (it took 2 quarts). I put some hardener in it and it turned out nice, although it took about 6 coats to cover. (I should have used a lighter primer color as yellow is a crummy color for hiding grey primer.)

Guys the Dupont paint codes are 262 and 263, can't remmber witch is what but one is yellow and one is the green code, have used this for years.
I sure would use Clooney's code for yellow, this is just to give you the green code.

Popper:

If you want to spray some acrylic enamel, Clooney gave me a DuPont code that I am using (PPG couldn't even get close on the yellow !) and it looks nice.

The code is DT2612.

BTW Clooney: Send me the green code you use for DuPont. I'll need it if I paint a different tractor sometime. I like the way the DuPont applies vs. the PPG.

Thanks Frank,

I will inquire around here to see where I can get the Dupont Code.

Thanks

Dick
