In addition to cleaning a wheel center and rim today, I did manage to check the oil pressure while cranking the Pony. It registered "M" on the main engine gauge, so that's good enough for me.

I was going to tell my wife that I mounted a pony in the garage, but we have horses here, and one of them is kind of small, and, uh, well.

Might fire the small engine this week sometime, foir a short snort.

Don't know if you've bought your core yet. But I bought a core from this site for my 50 as it was the most reasonable price i could find. And it works great.

Walt:

Don't know if this picture is going to help, but I use a pair of 6 ton jack stands on either side of the drawbar frame. I wish I had a really heavy duty 3" or 4" channel iron about 4 ft long, then I would put the jack stands farther apart to widen the stance. I tested this method before the wheels came off, and it seems very stable. I also place my floor jack on the work side during the wheel mount/dismount activity.

Can you tell I haven't yet cleaned and painted the drawbar frame ?

I had to put a core in my radiator, too. Not a bad job at all. Let me know if you need any thing on that.

Frank
