Anyone have any experience with the repo fenders? My original fenders on the 41 that I am working on are quite rough and will cost a little more than buying the repos to fix...are the repo fenders close to the orig in quality One other: one of the brake after soaking in deisel for 8 days cam upart in peices as I had to slam the end shaft on a 12x12 block, the other came right apart no gear puller no heat nolovin from the block. The one that came right apart was full of lube, probably the 90wt. I havent seen one full of lube before. Is there a quick fix for this?

If your tractor has turning brakes it is an AO with AR stacks. Regular AR's didn't have turning brakes. If a customer wanted brakes the dealer was told by mother Deere to order an AO and install the 15 inch stacks. Tired Iron Farm also makes repro fenders and hoods. I've had very good luck with their fenders and hoods. Fenders are $225.00 per pair plus shipping and crating. Ph.# is 219-848-4628

Doesn't have anything to do with this, but I
recently bought an AO,and was wondering what
size tires were on the front originally.Someone
has put 14" implement tires on it.It also has
the script JD name on the front instead of an
emblem.It's a styled model serial 278783.
I can send a picture if that will help. Thanks

Thanks Ray for the info on the fenders. This tractor while having stering brakes was designated a AR There is a well fadded yellow stencil under the seat on the rear end casting plate that says JOHN DEERE AR.

I bought reproduction fenders for an AR last year from Robert Lefever They fit and looked good $420 plus shipping. If your fenders are in poor shape you probably can't have them fixed and look as good or last as long as repros.
