It pays to check around I needed some bearings for a JD LA one number at JD dealer came up NLA. I took the timken #'s called up the ,of all places the IH AGCO -whatever dealer and guess what? They even had some in stock !! And the price was lower than JD ,and they were all genuine
timken.John Deere is dropping the ball as they used to have these and most of their bearing prices were less than most places.

That may be true of a lot of different parts. Unfortunately, these bearings aren't among them. I went through a bearing supply store and they found that there were only 11 in the Timken system. Apparently they only produce them on an as-needed basis. Clooney did some searching of his own sources and came up with similar results. It was only by dumb luck that I placed an ad in the classifieds of this site and had someone answer it. I should know later this week if they are correct.

I'll cross my fingers for you . I know it is getting harder to get stuff all the time, and more costly.

Paul, the cones you need appear to be JD8112R, they are still available from Deere for $61.10 list. For cones you are going to need the same one I did, the JD7434R - it is no longer available through Deere and our local bearing house wanted $300 a piece for them. However, I have ordered some for about $300 for all 4. I won't know until next week if they're correct for sure, but I will email you the name and address of where I ordered them from. I will decide whether to post the name and address as soon as I determine if they are right - I'm keeping my fingers crossed though.
