I recently purchased a 38 unstyled B. Tractor runs lousy. I pulled the carb off to have it rebuilt and noticed it was a dltx7 I think I am right in assuming the tractor should have a dltx10. Question is will the two carbs interchange after the rebuild and run satisfactorly? or would I need to go ahead and find a dltx10? The tractor will only be used to parade around on .

Randall, My book shows a 10 as the correct carb for the b of that year. I am not sure what a 7 carb went on. I have learned the hard way, that they run best when they have the correct carb on them. An A carb will work on a B, and it will run, but it is not good. It seems like they are hard to tune, and can get load or idle set right, but not both.
Just my opinion.

the dltx-7 is the M/S reference number for the pre war era float bowls, you should find the M/S carb. # on the other casting "body" at the choke end opposite the choke lever arm.
