Now that it is getting warmer i am looking forward to taking out some of the tractors for plowing. got a 2x14 trip/trailor plow. where do you set it up? does it need to be so far from the tire that is in the furrow(right tire) or does it not matter. Probably will take out the 52 B looking at a G and the WC and WD allis's. thanks for all the help

I got a MM 3 bottom trailer for the 70D. I need a 3 because of the red clay. If you slide the draw over what pin would be strong enough to take the stress from not being straight? I can adj the hitch on mine over number of different spots too.

Be nice to your "B" dont hook it to A two bottom plow, A two bottom trip Is A handful on back of an "A". If you are not real careful you will stick them in the ground The tractor will spin out then you cant get the plow up. The "G" on the other hand will say "is there something back there"? will probably be A lot more fun for you. As far as the setup my 51 "A" does best with the drawbar extended all the way out and I swing it all the way to the right so I dont have to move my wheels. Good luck

According to JD, the center of draft is 1/4 the width of 1 bottom to the left of the center of the plow. Back when my Dad had a 52 plow it meant moving the wheels all the way in on an A or a B. We also had a landing lever or sidehill hitch which allowed shifting the drawbar to the right or left as required by the lay of the land. The JD plow manuals have detailed directions. If you don't get further instructions I can E-mail you a xerox of the setup instructions.
