I just bought a 1975 4430 quad range (cab) with two remotes. I want to add a loader with a joystick control which will not block my rear hydrolics. Does anyone know the easiest way to do this or perhaps where I can look to find out how to do this. Im not real famaliar with this JD hydrolic system.

Thanks

They make an extra remote that works off electric
that hooks into a plug on the existing remote.
I had the same problem with a 4240.Sold the
tractor, still have the remote if your interested.

I have been told that on the 20 series you could hook the hydralic feed into the main pressure line coming from the front pump, and the retuen can behooked into a special hydraulic filter cover that has a outlet in it. I am not sure how this would work or if it would work on the 30 series, but it might be worth looking into to see if it could save you some money. That auxilary hydraulic block i believe would be a bit more expensive than the hydraulic filter cover.

That is the best way to return the oil , that way it gets back to the pressure side quicker . I'm not sure on the 4430 but I think you can "T" off the pressure line somewhere like uou can on the 20 series . I have seen guys tap a 1/2 pipe fitting in the hyd filter cover also , just look for the thickest place . There is only around 200psi there and it's lots cheaper than buying a cover with the tap on it .

Go to your JD dealer and purchace an auxilary hyd. block.(about $135.) It goes between the remote and the rockshaft housing, and plumb the hoses to this. You will have use of the loader and the remotes and this gives full hyd. flow to the loader valve.
