I had to tell someone that will know the thrill I got when the engine in the 3020 I bought that was seized up moved today, Two weeks ago I poured Kroil into the cylinders and today with "for the most part"not a lot of effort I got it to turn about a 1/4 of a turn,it would go no further and I didn't force it as I suspect stuck valves. Now it's time to do the rebuild. Just wanted to thank the folks that have offered advice to me thru this forum. Sure wished my better half could get a grip on why I came home so happy,"OH WELL". Till the next problem!!!! Thanks again Terry

Congrats Terry! It always feels good to reach a step in the positive direction. As to the better half it's probably a lost cause! I can come in happy as a lark because I got ahead a little on the rebuild and all I get is bitched at for getting my jeans greasy!

A bit of advice - If you spend a dollar on the tractor - then you spend a dollar or more in the house. So far the cost of the tractors, overhauls, equipment and a shop have cost me $X..... . In addition it has cost me adding a sunroom, remodeling the kitchen and living room which I also use. Get a pair of coveralls and wear rubbers when in the shop. Take them off before you come in the house. If you track grease on the carpet or throw your greasy jeans in with the rest of the clothes you wife has every right to rag on you! I have been stuffing the coveralls an old pair of jeans and a shirt in her new washer all winter. Not a cross word, however I suspect she is thinking about a new master bath and walkin closet. I'll have to take her to more movies and dinner.
