I have just bought a mod 50 and it runs great. I have flushed the tranny and all other fluids. I was able to disengage the power shaft but cant reengage it. The shift lever seems to be stuck. its loose but seems jambed or some thing. cant get it to engage.

You might need to bump the engine with the starter to align the gears so it will go in gear.

If it is a live pto you need to turn the crankshaft. You can engage the clutch and do it by hand if you are tough. If its a trans. driven pto you can just turn the clutch.

Are you trying to engage it while the engine is running? If it's got a live p.t.o., i believe you can only engage it when the engine is still (the lever to the left of your right foot). If it's not got a live p.t.o., then you can engage it when you disengage the clutch.
