The cable on the seat of my 4020 unhooked from the fixed end. Can anyone tell me what it hooks to? Should have been clever and looked before trying to improve it by putting the cable back on the pulley. Thanks

Duben, the other end of the cable hooks around a small tab underneath the center support. It will be in the center of those offset square holes that adjust the seat's fore-and-aft position. Don't feel bad, I've rebuilt several of those seats, and I still had to get the book out to find the answer for you. Also make sure your rollers are in good shape and properly shimmed to keep everything tight. Check the condition of your counterbalance spring and the shock absorber, too. Having the seat working properly makes a whole new tractor out of those New Generations. Most guys forget how nice they really did work, because so few of them do work right anymore. I've also found that a little dry graphite lube in the roller tracks makes a world of difference also. That seat should snap right up when you unlatch it. I would recommend borrowing or buying a service manual if you tear into it too far, all those parts can be a little confusing, and it will give you the adjustments as well.

Thanks for the help! Just got the 4020 and haven't had a chance to get manuals yet. Sure am enjoying the tractor, though.
