Good luck in finding 42" rims. They are hard to find and very expensive. You can find 38" rims in just about any salvage yard for maybe 100-150 dollars a piece (with a 9 bolt center) and you can still get them brand new for a little more.

According to several books I have, including PC 675 (which is for an A btw), I observe that a big distinction for the BN, BW, AN, and AW tractors is that they all came standard with 42" rubber! You could also get the regular A and B with the two piece pedestal and a wide front end or a single wheel front end, but those tractors were regular As and Bs, not AN,BN or AW,BW tractors. As regular A and B tractors, THEY had 38" rubber! If what you have is a real BN, it should ONLY have the 42" rims (provided you want autheniticy and care, that is)

I believe they could be ordered with 38 inch wheels as we have had some set up both ways. the real difference is in the rearaxle housing where the drawbar attaches, if you've seen them both together you could see it. also the axles were usally longer on both W's and N's. The 42 inch casting and wheels will be an attention getter at a show though. RK
