I know Jim hasn't posted much on the Deere board recently. I thought I would let you know his bone cancer is spreading into his vitals. He was an avid Deere collector so below is the most recent news. Jim came down to Indianapolis and helped me free up that JD 4400 gas combine I had in 1999. A heck of a great guy!

I talked to Mrs. McFarlane today. She took him to Pulaski Memorial Hospital in Winamac, Indiana last night. He suffered a stroke on the way. He is in ICU for at least the next 48 hours and is fairly incoherent at this point in time. His right side is not usable, he cannot walk and it has effected his speech. Though the cat scan didn't show it, they think the cancer has gone to his brain. Mrs. McFarlane would love to see cards arrive at their home and she will take them to the hospital and read them to him. She is fairly certain he is understanding what she is saying. Once they get him out of ICU, they are planning on putting him in long term care at Pulaski Memorial.
