A friend has a '72 2130 with the 180cc pump. It
has totally lost all pressure--including hydro.
Has anyone else had this problem? Pump is not
frozen, just quit suddenly for no apparent reason.
(This was export model that made its way back to
US after HD south-of-the-border.) Any help will
be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Seen a 2120, the earlier version with zero hydraulics from a totally blocked transmission filter. It was likely my Grandfather or a hired man put 140 weight gear lube in the transmission/hydraulics. The brake pads disinigrated then the friction material & steel fillings blocked the filter tight.

Check the pump drive shaft and make sure the pump is actually turning, not just the outer coupling. Also check the filter and the screen that sits crosswise in the case. Some tractors were equiped with a destroking valve that screws into the top of the pump. Make sure its in the correct position. I forget if its its supposed to be in or out. Only thing that I can think of after this possibly a broken line at the transmission pump which supplies the oil to the main pump. Also check the dipstick just to make sure its got oil.
