The 420 just came out of the machine shop after having a lot of welding done on the loader to make a wide bucket attachment for snow. Apparently the welder may have depolarized the generator. Using the first step in your troubleshooting procedures (polarizing the generator) made it work like new. I have never seen anything painted green get fixed for such a price. Thanks again and you can bet that I will keep those procedures stuck in my 420 book.
