I live in S/E Mich and picked up a 50 B just north of Flint last July. It's in good running cond with straight tin,cut hood but patched, new rear rubber, mismatched fronts but hold air. It also has an aftermarket 3pt. I would say it was a nice solid 6.5. Paid $2300 My next will be an older model that needs to be restored.

Some tires sand blast, paint and will have a fine machine.About a "8" in my book

That's a good idea in theory, however, the "value" of a tractor is so subjective that there is no way to accurately determine it. A rare tractor may be worth X amount of dollars according to the "experts". But if I don't want one, it's worth nothing to me. Does that make any sense? As far as using a number scale, that's a good idea also, but who is going to set it? What would the criteria be? I guess what I've always heard and believed, is that a tractor is only worth what someone is ready, willing and able to pay for it on a given day. A junked-out mess that one person would only give $100 for for a parts tractor, may be exactly what someone else wants for a project tractor. I bought my G for $650, 95% complete but not running and in rough shape. For what I'll have in it when it's done, I could have bought 2 or 3 in decent condition and running, but I wanted a project I could really get into, not just tune-up and paint and call it a restoration. I'm not trying to start problems here, this is just my 2 cents. Different strokes for different folks.

Sorry oldtimer, my post should have been under the original post, not yours. Good luck with your G.
