My 720 is low on power steering fluid. My operators manual and repair manual suggest to see JD dealer for proper fluid. Any suggestions? Is aftermarket available?
Also, it looks as though the power steering pedestal must be completely removed and dissambled to replace the bottom seal. Any guidance

Matthew, the pedestal doesn't have to come off to replace that bottom "o" ring but it is much easier as it has to come all the way apart to get to that bottom "O" ring.
~If you haven't been into a power steering pedestal before I would strongly suggest you get the proper manual, those things aren't rocket science but the parts are expensive & they have to be assembled exactly right to operate correctly.

John Deere sells a service manual for 2-cyl power steering. The number is SM-2050. If you are going to work on this system, I would strongly reccomend getting the manual, I can't imagine getting much done correctly without it.

John Deere sells a power steering for 1960 and older tractors (says right on the container 1960 and older). It's expensive but made my 620 steer a lot better.
