I was looking at the manuals available for my JD B. I want to have them for general reference, but don't know what I should get. Under "Tractor Manuals" you can buy the "Owners", "Parts" and "Service" manuals. Since they are kinda expensive, I would like to feel comfortable before dropping the $30 to $80 each. Anyone have suggestions/recommendations.

I ordered all for my 950 from the 800 number. I recommend all. The operators manual is good for general operating and maintenance information. The repair manual is good for repair work. The parts manual is very helpful. It gives exploded views of almost every part on the tractor and all the various part numbers. Really helps when used with the repair manual.

Yes, I have a suggestion for you---call JD Tech Publications at 800-522-7448. Straight from the source, no middleman, and MUCH better quality, too.
You won't buy cheaper or better anywhere else, the people are friendly, and the service is fast. Don't bother going anywhere else!!!

Take Mr. Nobody's advise. I just ordered a parts and operators manual for a forage harvester and I had them in a couple of days. $43.00 shipped. Can't beat it with a stick.
