Well i have a 1937 john deere b with steel wheels when we restored it i took the lugs of to bolt rubber on and i did but now i have nice guy wanting to trade me his air up tires for my steel do you think this will hurt the value of my tractor but keep in mind when we restored it the place we did it at i left the lugs and somehow came up missing so i have no lugs that where original so as the way it is i think the tractor will be better for me if i just get the air up tires i could use it better. WHAT DO YOU THINK ???

Hey confused#%, Does your tractor also have front steel? If so I would think awhile before parting. If you have just rears then rubber front and back might be what you want. I personally love steel but can't drive flats w/lugs many places. Bolt on rubber pads is ok but usually rough w/o being original. Think before leaping and maybe take it to some shows to see if your blood is rubber or steel.

That doesn't sound like a bad deal to me as long as the tires are GOOD. What kind of rims are they on - cast, cutoffs, or round spokes? It is your tractor, do what makes you happy.
