45 loader manual-please read

Is there anybody out there with a 45 loader operator, repair, or parts manual, NOT a 45W loader manual, that would be willing to photocopy the manual and send it to me, or if you aren't going to be using it, want to send the manual to me? It wouldn't be expensive to photocopy it. My friend did this for a JD JBA disk harrow manual. All 38? pages of it. I will be getting my 45 loader soon, and need to rebuild the cylinders, and get new hoses. Does anyone have any idea how much this might cost? I have heard that the cylinder kits cost aout 35$/ cylinder. True or no? Thanks, and please reply.

What the other guys said is good info, but one thing to remember: John Deere printed separate manuals for this loader, with a different manual for each type of tractor. I used to have a 45 loader, mounted on a 3020, and the book for it was OM-C12410C (specificly for the 3010/4010). The book does state that the loader was designed for the John Deere 3010,4010,530.630,730,520,620.720, 50,60,70,A,B,G tractors. I suggest you call Deere and tell them what tractor you are using and get the for sure correct manual, and that prior to purchase, you should determine if the 45 is equiped with the correct cylinders and mounts for your tractor as well.

I have a 45 loader. I have the Operator's Manual OM-C13982C and Parts Catalog PC484 I got them from John Deere.Ask your John Deere dealer or call 1-800-522-7448

Am working on a 45 loader right now. They had three different bore cylinders for the various tractors they would fit. Lettered tractors had low pressure & used biggest bore, around 2.75". First numbered series tractors used a bit smaller bore & the new generation tractors with their higher pressures used a still smaller bore. My large bore kits were about $35. Will root through the book shelf to see if I have a manual for it or not. Don't recall for sure. Will post back tomorrow either way.

Hello Al-----

I never knew that there were different cylinder bore sizes for these loaders. The 45W loader on my 70 came off of a 720, and before that who knows? Do you have any way (casting numbers, outside diameters, etc.) of telling the difference in the 3 cylinder sizes from the outside without having other sizes nearby to compare?

I looked for my owner's manual to see what it listed there. Hmmmmm . It made no mention of the different sizes of cylinders. My local JD parts man is who clued me into the different sized bores for different series tractors. He said that when sold, they were ordered with bores appropriate for the tractor the owner would use them on. I can't recall the exact sizes but they were in the range of 2, 2.5 & 3. What he claims is the big bore (what I have) I can mic tonight & report back.

I have 45W. I didn't think there was much difference except for the obvious. In the back of the manual it shows on one page how to rebuild the cylinders.

I'm not sure if the manuals are still available through Deere or not, but the operator's manual number is OMC13982, and the parts book is PC484.

Call 800-522-7448 and see what they want for them.

Although it wouldn�t be authentic John Deere parts, if you (or your welding shop) are a little bit handy with a torch and welder, it shouldn�t be too tough to fab those brackets with the proper channel iron and some boiler plate. A little artwork at the top and you�re in business. Since you�re having a tough time finding the right brackets, this idea might be a �get me by� until you find some JD �gennies�.
