Hi everyone,

I've posted many question about a 51 JD M. I have a problem with my clutch. The tractor drives and all but the clutch has no kick back. When i push it down it just bairly comes back up. Do I have to split the tractor or is it a adjustment? Any info would be nice.

I would recommend brake cleaner instead of oil as it wouldn't hurt your clutch...genereously spravy it in area while working the clutch in an out... you've got nothing to loose...better than breadking apart....

Before you split it, try some oil. The clutch shaft that goes through the tractor is a carrier for the tube on the left brake. That gets rusty. Take it apart, clean it up and oil it. Thats more than likely the problem.
