When I first drove my B this weekend it had a clunck in the transmission in every gear. It happened once every revolution per wheel. I took the brakes out and looking in that hole I found out that the right final drive gear has 3 teeth missing and 2 damaged. To fix this do I have to take both wheels off or just the right one? Also would the differential gear it meshes with be ok? Thanks for your help, Ryan

If the left gear that the brake meshes with is ok all the way, then you likely will need to just take the right wheel off the axle, take the powerlift off (or the flatback whichever it has) then you are going to have to see what all is messed up from there. The gear the brake meshes with is a bull gear and you will need to follow the directions in the shop manual to take it off and replace it. Others will tell you that it is a great time to replace axle bearings and all. I have heard of these going to pot before but not on a B. Didn't know it had that kind of power.
