Is there any place or any way to put new rubber on an old steering wheel? I have the original flat bar steering wheel for my 37 B but the rubber is cracked really bad. I want to use the original but really dont want to do the black tape thing. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Try K&K antique tractors located in Shelbyville Indiana. They will recover yours or exchange whichever you want. I had my original recovered for my JD "H. It was shipped to me within 2 weeks and they did an excellent job. Do a search and and you will find their website. I don't know it right know.

There is a company called Minn-Kota repair that can recoat your steering wheel. I've seen their ads quite a few times, but I can't find one now. I'll post contact info tomorrow, if no one else does.

I have also heard of using body putty in the cracks, filing/sanding to shape, then painting black. I may end up doing the putty idea on mine.

Also, there are new reproductions out there that should look the same. The price would be around the same or a little less than to recoat, I think.

Good luck,
Brandon
