630 LP. The power steering worked good till I fixed it. Had to take the steering worm gear out to put in a new radiator. When I put it back in, it would go to the right but not the left. I took it apart again to check it with my parts book. Nothing left out. Put it back together and it jumped to the right and will not move. I used to farm with a 70 LP and a 630 LP. One of them I could loosen the four bolts that holds the valve and tap it one way or the other and make it equalize. This one will do nothing. Help please. Thanks
Norman

Larry, Thanks for the come back. I move the valve assembly all the way forward and all the way back and it does nothing to the wheel. Just stays to the extreme right. I have an I T manual but it doesn't address this. Will probably have to get a John Deere power steering manual. Anybody else have a sugestion? Tkanks

Norm, Are you saying evan with engine off you can't straighten out wheels? I have always taken all the weight off of the frt end when making any adjustments to P/S. In other works almost jack the tractor frt end off the floor. Straighten frt end by hand, {engine off} . Start up if wheels move at dead idle, tap spool valve one way or the other & see if you can get them to go left by them selves. If wheel are locked over in right turn you may have something major wrong, I'm not for sure & have no books where I'm at.RLA

I had the same problem with my 730 several years ago. I borrowed a power steering manual from an old retired JOHN DEERE machanic / friend. It had adjustments in it I never heard of. I was able to get it working with a little patients and a lot of help from the manual. While I had the manual he let me made a copy of it. I will be glad to send you copy. Let me know if I can help.
