I recently purchased a JD AO parts tractor. While haggling over the price I spotted a couple of F+H wheel weights lying in the grass nearby. Wanting to get a better deal I asked if he would throw in the weights. We made the deal and I hauled everything home. They sure look like they will mount on my late styled AO, but I can't be sure without trying it. They don't look like much fun to mount, so I thought I'd ask if one of you guys could tell me by the part number. The weights are "F+H DP2628 PAT. 1487257". The appropriate JD weights according to my parts manual are "D 2628 R". Those numbers are awful close, thought maybe these were the F+H versions of the original JD weights. Any thoughts? By the way, how do you mount those things anyway?

Toaster-Without looking in my books for parts#, and not being familar with an AO cast wheels I do know that the letter series tractors have a different bolt conf. than the numbered series tractors. The old styled wieghts are fatter and not as big around. The newer wieghts are about 2" thick. You can get bolts from your JD store (square headed) that goes through the 3 square holes of the cast wheel and sets themselfs snug so you can lift the wieght on the bolts, then put the lock washers and nut on them. Hope this helps. luckydog
