The Babbit bearings on the connecting rods on my 49 B are smooth but do have a couple of holes in the bearing material. Will this be a problem or are they ok that way..... Thanks

As long as the holes aren't too big & your tractor carries decent oil pressure, you'll be OK. The oil forms a hydrostatic wedge between the crank & the bearing such that they don't 'grate' on one another like you might imagine.
