Once you get the cab off how are you going to make the combine do anything? That machine is computer controlled and without the cab it won't start ,move, or do anything. Don't think you can get a roll of wire and a bunch of switches from NAPA and make it work. Without the computer the radio won't even play. Ask your dealer, the cab is matched to the combine, the computer`is matched to the cab all you are doing is making a $70,000 monument to your stupidity.

Like the Bozo who says he took the cab off his 8300. The dealer would sure be surprised when he comes out to repo it. But having seen some of the junk the deadbeats let go back maybe he wouldn't.

If you take the cab off, you will probably own it for the rest of it's life as nobody else would want it for anything more than parts.

You better think about taking the cab off. I'm
afraid the neighbors around you will call the guys
that will haul you off to the funny farm.

If you take off the cab you are going to get an awful lot of dirt and dust in some very sensitive electronic components that are hard enough to keep working inside a cab. What do you intend to do with the monitor lights that are part of the cab?

Trying to see through the dust that rolls out of the feeder house is bad enough let alone having it get all over the controls and yourself.

Those old 55s,95, 105s without cabs had mostly mechanical controls. About the only things electrical were the ignition and light switches.

Why the heck do you want to take the cab off for? Open station combines were a pain in the butt. After a long day of work you came back looking like you were of a different ethnicity. Not, to mention the itchy dust that made you go insane. It just sounds wierd that anyone would want to do that. Personally I don't know anyone that has taken a cab off of any combine.

I agree Tyler, that's the best thing on a machine is the cab!! Is it just me or you take a look around at the other message boards and it seems there's more odd ideas arising?? Maybe I'm just oppinionated. -Darren
