I was having same problem with a Farmall. Discovered if I removed distributer cap wiped with paper towel, worked fine for twenty minutes, same thing again. Went to dealer yesterday, he sold six caps in the last three days and didn't have one. Same thing at two auto parts stores. We have been getting a lot storms with freezing and thawing and back again. Car and pickup doors froze shut, etc. I picked up a can at NAPA, called moisture retardent, sprayed in on, works well in short term anyway. I hope it will stay until I get a new cap.

Check for moisture under the cap, this is common on gas engines. poor points and old wires will also do this under some load, may idle nice. unless your blowing snow I don't think its the carb, but I may be wrong-it's easy to check.

John Could you have a air restriction of some kind or ice in your carb?
