I've got a question about the hydraulics. I bought my B running, but it didn't have any hydraulic oil. It has Power-Trol. I probably need to overhaul the whole system including the pump. Where is the Hydraulic Pump at? Any help you could give me on this is appreciated.

Ryan,
Your pump may be OK, just needs oil. I don't think you use hydraulic oil, just straight 30 weight motor oil. Some people suggest flushing it out with kerosene or diesel for a few minutes first.
(Please confirm this from another member of this board or from the JD manual for your tractor before you do this. I don't want to steer you wrong.) Anyway, that could save you a lot of work, unless you were going to do it anyway as part of a restoration.

Ryan, the hydraulic pump is right under the cover where the PTO shaft goes into the back of the tractor.
